ADVENT 2025 OVERVIEW
Series Overview Everything about the arrival of Christ is miraculous. As Luke seeks to record an orderly account of the first advent, he details one supernatural event after another (1:3). Mothers, fathers, and children in the womb are filled with the Holy Spirit, announcing the works of the Messiah and celebrating with great joy. Even shepherds in the field experience the supernatural when angels announce Christ’s arrival. Through all of these events, we get a picture of how God works and moves in extraordinary ways to accomplish His will here on earth. It was God’s plan and His will to bring a Savior into the world. In these events, we see that He truly does hold all things together by the power of His Word (Col 1:17).
What does this mean for us? It means we can trust in the power of God to work for the good of those whom He came to save. It means that God has the power and the authority to accomplish His will, bringing all of His elect into salvation. Therefore, it means we can rest and rejoice in Him.
