Overview:
It is God who declares the beginning from the end. It is He who is sovereign over all of the earth. God will accomplish all of His purposes. God’s purpose from the beginning has been to glorify His name through saving His people from their sin. Although, an enemy plots and works to thwart God’s plan through lies and deception, God displays His omniscience and His omnipotence by accomplishing His will. God’s omniscience is seen in His plans of old to bring about His salvation. God’s omnipotence is seen in His
power to accomplish His plans despite an enemy’s efforts to work against Him.
During Holy Week, we are going to focus on the Old Testament prophecies about Christ’s triumphal entry, His atoning death, and His resurrection from the dead. As we look at each of these prophesies and connect them with the details of their fulfillment in the New Testament, we will declare God’s omniscience and omnipotence to accomplish His purpose of bringing salvation to His people. Moreover, in each one of these sermons we will highlight the significance and beauty of each one of these events and their implications for our lives.
